Grinnell's Method of Calculating Need

Hi, I'll be applying as a transfer to Grinnell, and I don't really have the financial resources to attend a private college (hence why I'm currently attending an in-state public school I detest), so I'm curious if Grinnell's way of calculating need is harsher or more lenient than the CSS/Profile's (which I'm using for other schools and which sadly makes me appear 100x richer than I am)?

harsher
I don't think they have give me enough FA

I also don't think I received enough fa.

so, 328357 and pgillon, how much debt will you graduate with?

Well, it's really very difficult to estimate how much debt I'm going to graduate with considering the fasfa can't be completed until the end of the tax year and the unknown variables like work-study. My point was just that the aid offer they sent seemed to suggest that my family would need to pay a much larger percentage of the tuition than we originally thought based on what the college had said about the average package. It's still too early to tell what the package will look like when everything is said and done, but the initial offer was disconcerting.
