gross

Before the advent of MySpace, there was GeoCities; a few students in grade 8 started a major slander site against the few rich girls in the school and nearly destroyed everyone's reputation until the principal caught and suspended them. I wish I had thought of that beforehand, because it would have been well worth it after the rule that those people attempted to establish.

nono before myspace was livejournal - the ultimate brag/attention sheet. and then people get all flustered and angry when an anonymous comment is posted.
as for myspace...why? and especially with facebook now (and even for highschoolers), why myspace? Is it for "teens" to feel smart making their own webpage or something?

Hmm..well, I have a myspace. I'll admit, it has ruined my Junior year. I've become such an addict to it I don't know why. Now I use facebook (high school version) and it's addicting as well. Thing is, I don't want to delete my myspace because I have friends that I keep in contact with and I never see them so I wish to continue to keep in contact.
My grades have dropped from A-, B+ to C+ B-s and the few A's and B's/

Anyone have an idea other than to delete it to keep it not addicting?

I want serious suggestions.

I don't go on myspace like I used it as crazy anymore.

Change your password without looking, and copy and paste it.

I don't think myspace is all that bad...just like any other thing on the internet, it reflects the person who uses it. It's just another outlet to express yourself. I find it no different than people having a certain style with clothes or wearing a certain hairstyle. If people want to do foolish things like post obscene pictures of themselves or their actual address, it shows how much common sense they lack...

I personally don't find myspace all that addictive. IMO there aren't too many things on it to be addicted to...

I use my myspace mostly for political discussion...only not that many people visit and post :p

You are an extreme rarity-most use it for networking either outside of school to find random people or to keep internal friendships in constant touch; there are some students who cut classes to post on their MySpace for these reasons.
