I applied to Groton and was told since I did not have an on campus interview, they would contact me for a phone interview if they wanted more information. Did this happen to anyone on here?

I didn't apply to Groton, but one of the schools I applied to suddenly called me today out of the blue for an interview.

Well 1 school said they would call me, they ended up asking for my 6th grade standerdized test scores, can you believe they substituted an interview for some lousy numbers! Scoff! Hahaha
P.S Jonathon did you apply to BS'S last year as well?

No, I applied to a day school thst I go to now.

I planned on applying to boarding school, but I thought my SSAT scores were too low to even have a shot at any top schools, (40% overall) and honestly I didn't feel that I was ready to leave home, and I was wrong. I really regret not applying last year.

Well I applied to groton, but i did have an on-campus interview which i loved. my interviewer was one of the nicest ladies i have ever met and my tour guide had a great personality and really showed off what a great school it is. grotons my top choice, and i myself have visited the groton school campus many times because i have a lot of friends that attend groton and i live in the town of groton, so i often like to go to their football and other sports games. its one of the most beautiful campuses i have ever seen and all the students seem extremely welcoming. i personally love the school and think anyone would be lucky to be able to attend groton. pm me if you have any questions about the school. id be happy to answer=]!

My son applied to and was admitted to Groton a few years ago. I got a call a few weeks after he sent the application in, telling me that I hadn't filled out the parent statement and could I send it in. When I asked her if it was necessary, she told me "given the pile he's in, I think it would be a very good idea to write it and fax it in as soon as possible". So maybe the fact that they were encouraging you to send things in is a good sign. (he did have an interview, and felt he was the most intelligent person who interviewed him)
