<p>If you liked the feeling of "independence" then the place for you is definitely Andover. They almost treat you as if you were already in college, unlike most boarding schools, who have curfew, study hours, etc...that's why Prep is not such a good description of a boarding school, although the traditions really are sweet and form a very important part of every boarding school. My recommendation is that, since you got a good vibe about Groton from the book, then just go and visit it and see for yourself. Happy holidays.</p>

I suppose a lot of people must consider prep schools extremely snobby. I would hardly call Eton "little", though; it has 1,290 boys.</p>
