Ground transportation, LAX to OC

Glad to hear that your D had a smooth and pleasant trip.

One thing we found out in the past was that Super Shuttle is much more convenient at many airports than, say, ANY shuttle service at the second largest airport in the northeast. Heck, even the service of Super Shuttle at the 4th or 5th largest airport in TX could beat that of the shuttle service at BDL. I think it is mainly because there is just no comparison in terms of the volume of business of airport shuttle services between that airport and other airports and the booming business brings up the competition of many shuttle services and boosts the quality of their services.

On the other hand, we still hate to be living in any big city. I guess we have been living in a smaller city for too long in most of our lives.

We have booked a flight for DS from the northeast to LA for a test toward the end of the year. The date is too close to Christmas so we think it is a good idea to make a reservation now. The test site is just south of LAX and the test only lasts one day. We have no idea why he chooses to fly all the way here to take this test while there are many closer test sites. We have arranged two out of three legs of his trip - the only unscheduled one is from the southern Ca to the northern Ca. Not sure whether he will need a car while in LA either. Wife is dreaming of driving there to meet him (and take him home from there) but I think he will fly from LAX in the end mostly because we do not feel comfortable with driving in a city like LA.
