Grove City Financial Aid

I'm planning on attending Grove City, but like so many other people, finances are an issue. My parents are divorced, my mom doesn't work, only gets a little alimoni from my dad and I don't supply any info from him since he doesn't support me. Anyways, my EFC is $0 and i can only take out so much in loans, so I'm wondering if meeting the rest of tuition through grants is gonna be possible. Is there anyway someone can guess as to how much of financial aid I'll recieve from Grove City, or even what other people in lower financial classes have recieved? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

No personal experience w/ GCC FA …Historically, the general FA philosophy has been, “We keep tuition low for everyone, thus major FA for everyone.” And I’ve a friend who’s #2 child attending another area college w/ a bigger sticker price, ended up paying substantially less than his #1, who was a year ahead @ GCC. Both were stellar students. He was shocked, but it was a reality check illustrating the old adage that re: cost, net matters more than sticker. For some that’s no matter. Generally, GCC’s students are strong, so trying to make a case for scholarship aid is not easy nor feasible for most.

So, perhaps others can be more definitive and helpful re: GCC. Generally, FA has not been a fun topic for GCC. Needs tend to be met by loans. And the other aspect that diminishes a need, strategy, or desire to “buy” students is the phenomenon known as a wait-list. GCC’s had one for many seasons.
