Highly Conservative
unfortunately, no church related activities
I believe I'd ace the interview

so what do you think?

Well, if you can get GCC’s counselors to believe what you believe, you might well stand a fair chance. On the other hand, if they view you the way you view yourself? Could be an uphill swim.
Conservative is good, they love it. A total void of evidence of worship and service to JC? Ouch.

thanks for your response…I’m a rising senior so what kind of church related activities would you suggest I could do between now and November 15th(ed program)

Not sure contriving a resume builder for 4 or 5 months will serve your candidacy. Another approach would be working to be able to explain why you’ve not pursued church engagement/service over the past years. Hard to know how seriously they might look at this issue. I can only tell you were I an evaluator, I’d be pressing you to know why words should trump actions, especially when there is a total void there. This might be one of those gut check moments.

You might also want to look @ Hillsdale College. While not as selective in student body, it is a politically conservative, nationally recognized campus. It is not so overtly “Christian” but most of the faculty, students and programming are.

yeah I’ve been looking at Hillsdale too…but do you know of any other small conservative colleges closer to Western Maryland?..I want it to be at most a four and a half hour drive

Messiah, Eastern, Geneva, Malone, a few others …
