Hey guys can anyone give me some insight into this school?(atmosphere, academics, strongest majors) My Physics teacher recommended it to me as a good engineering school

Grove City is NOT a good engineering school. It is a Presbyterian-affiliated Christian college that had the guts to forego federal aid because they would not comply with federal reporting requirements. I admire them for that. You will find a lot of very nice people at Grove City engaging in Christian-oriented activities as well as education...and you will find very smart people (it is quite selective).

ok not eng. but supposedly physics is good....Im not sure if id meet enough diverse people there

Grove City is unique....very pretty smallish campus in a TINY rural town, about 1 hour+ north of Pittsburgh. Christian principles are quite publicly espoused, mandatory chapel once a week....no drugs, no alcohol (even if you are 21), no gays allowed. Apparently not many URMs, either....as they accept no federal funding, they are not bound by any federal regs in those areas.

Academics are pretty well regarded - I've heard about it more for business than for engineering - if you can get past the strict environment.

The students at Grove City are diverse in the important ways. And, I am sure they do a good job teaching Physics. Morally, they are not diverse, but that is a good thing.

I have heard stories of students punished for roommates' transgressions, just by association. Also, this is weird, but someone told me that students are not allowed to walk on the grass. Maybe that's why the campus is so green! I gather that it is rather strict with not much partying, but the academics are decent.

yeah.. i live 10 minutes from grove city.. dont go there.
