How hard is it to get into the engineering program? Also, what's the average SAT and GPA? Do I have a chance? 1130 SAT CR and M.. and 3.6 GPA

Are you applying as a new transfer student? If so, I have no idea what their requirements are. I just finished my first term at CCNY and submitted my application for an engineering major so hope to hear from them pretty soon. Apparently they are very picky about internal applicants. An advisor told me that of 40 internal applications received last year, only 4 were accepted. Not pretty at all…

No I’m applying as incoming freshmen first year.

bumpppppppp

Unfortunately, my major complaint about CCNY is the administration. It seems like they only hire the laziest and most incompetent. Quite a shame. Notice how the official school representative to this site hasnt bothered to answer any of your questions.

bumpppppppppp

I just got accepted for this semester and my SAT scores were only 1030 for math and reading, but my GPA was 92. I did not feel like it was that difficult to get accepted. Even though I have problems with the supplemental application, I have to submitted twice -_- that was a shame.

Just apply I think most freshman that apply directly to Grove get accepted.

oh okay. thanks. When will i hear from them?

If you applied for fall semester you might be hearing from them by early February. Just do not get into desperation. If you fill all the papers and do not have to double submit them, you admission will be a easy process.

By the way, did you fill out the Supplemental Application for Grove School?

Yes i did :)

Oh okay then, you’ll be hearing from then soon. Just be patience! And good luck! Maybe we will see each other at the campus

I am applying to Grove as well but I have that bad feeling my TOEFL scores & high school transcript might be a bit late cause I live in Europe. Do you think that might get in the way of the whole process? I am pretty sure my stats are enough to get in, so it would be a shame to be rejected just because of missed deadlines.

Hey does the supplement for Grove School of Engineering need to be postmarked by Feb 1 for the fall semester? I’m having a bit of trouble with my school and i highly doubt if i mail it by now, they will not receive it by Feb 1.

Also incarnatio, if you email the admissions office or call them and tell them about the situation you are in, I am sure they will understand. Colleges are tolerant towards this sort of stuff.

I got rejected, 1980 SAT score and 3.25 GPA

Hi. I just committed to the Grove School of Engineering. I wanted to know how are the classes and professors and everything else.
