<p>It’s a good tool but I think many people (including myself) are too easily distracted by it.
I say this because I spend way too much time on here, tumblr, even uselessly on facebook. CC is a good tool but it’s mostly a time sink. Tumblr and facebook are time sinks. When I had a phone (sort of gave it up), most of my time was spent surfing instead of reading, which is what I did prior to having an iPhone and laptop.</p>
<p>Ironically, I just started a blog on tumblr to sort of chronicle my journey in giving up technology 
. This isn’t the best start, but I have an excuse as I was sending something to someone and ended up talking to the person.</p>
