growth spurt?

stargazerlilies, I'm not being hypocritical. Its not like giving any advice to someone with real height issues, such as myself. I am simply saying that at 5'10'', one's height will only be a problem in sports, and unless this guy wants to play sports, he's got nothing about which to complain. I'd sell my soul to the devil himself to be 5'10''.. If he were my height, then I'd sympathize with him as his current height doesn't rule out 40% or more of girls to you on the virtue they are a girl who will not go out with a guy shorter than them.

lakrosse - well...ok I get what you mean, but I don't think he's whining, just asking if he'll grow more. Which he probably won't, since he's (i'm guessing) 18 or older.

but you should stop being such a downer and focus on your positive qualities, because negativity doesn't attract women. you're an athlete, i'm guessing? that's an attractive quality. to be honest, I'm not really sympathetic towards you since i'm slightly shorter, but not insecure like you because I realize everyone has something they want to change about themselves. when I think about all the diseases and problems people have, it makes me appreciate the fact that i'm physically and mentally healthy, although under average height :) i hope you appreciate that too. I bet there's tons of guys who are fat and slow and wish they were athletic like you.

Just curious - are you a boy or girl? I would guess a boy under 5'2 would have it rough finding a decent girlfriend as well. You have a great attitude btw.

*** are you talking about? height is not an issue. i am 5'7 and a guy. i got by great in h/s and I get by great here. my brother is my same height, and so are most of my friends. stop stressing

Yes you can still grow. Start working out as well and drink protein shakes. Workout your traps, that's supposed to give you some extra height.

^ how is drinking protein shakes and exercising going to help? sure they're going to make him healthier, but if he hasn't grown since 14, chances are his growth plates have already fused.

i do wish people could grow in college though - i'm 18 and also haven't grown since 14 or so...and i'm barely 5'1. but working out and getting plenty of protein will make you healthier though, so it's probably good to do it anyway.

5'6 high school senior...hoping to be at least 5'8 before i stop college, but who knows :(

Plenty of guys grow until they are 21. I'm almost 19 and I've grown about 2.5 inches since I was 16. My brother even grew a little and he's almost 21. I grew 1/2 an inch in 3 months ever since I started lifting consistently and eating more. Obviously this probably won't do anything if you're 25 years old.

If you're a girl, then that's a good thing, because guys prefer it when girls aren't that tall.

Come to my college then, lol. Every other girl is average height and there aren't that many girls who are tall. Actually, you would even see plenty of 4'10"-5'0" caucasian girls around here. I don't see many girls who are above 5'7".

Hmm I think you got your growth spurt already when you became 6 ft haha that's pretty tall. Although I've heard ofvguys growing a couple inches laterso it is likely you could be 6'2 one day :) just drink lots of milk, carbs and proteins and if you work out make sure you're not shortening your leg muscles since many exercises do that... Stretch and if it won't hurt your manly ego join yoga.

Oh and also, if it makes you feel better, I think your height is perfect. Coming from a 5'4 girl, I love tall guys, but if they are too tall it's annoying to have to tiptoe ahaha
