grr..

my damn counselor chooses to simply IGNORE to my freaking messages! uci has this thing where i can see the date of when the counselor OPENS the messages; everytime i send it THEY OPEN IT A FEW HOURS LATER and yet, i keep sending her/him to ask if i 'COULD I DROP MY STATISTIC CLASS' (one of the 5 classes i put as 'PLANNED' on taking at a cc in the summer) to pursue summer bridge program at uci and she can't find to take one minute out of his/her time to reply! i'm ****ed. i sent two emails and i've called their adm office to get foward to his/her line and i always get this messsage 'Please leave your name, number, and a brief message, WE'LL GET BACK TO YOU,' and only three seconds later i hear 'YOU HAVE TO HANG UP BECAUSE THIS PERSON IS NOT ACCEPTING VOICEMAILS.'

UGH. has anyone called/sent a message to uci asking to drop a cc summer class you were planning to take? if so what did they say the affect on your admission status? and what did you say was your reason for dropping?

I'm just about to go through the same process, but to inform them of my currect schedule being different from what I had put down as planned. Hopefully it goes alright.

If I manage to talk to someone, I'll mention your situation and see what they say.

Are you calling the admissions counselors or the counselors from your school?

Did you drop the class or withdraw from it? I think you have to notify them by paper mail to get their attentino. If you dropped, then tell them it was due to some room for piano lessons or some crap hahahaha. Anyway, if you withdrew from your class, tell them that you'll take it over the summer to compensate. You might not be in good terms with them otherwise.

i listed it as 'planned.' this means that i was planning to take it and have a grade/credit before my enrollment in the fall. i talked to the admissions counselors, not school.
