Gruber's Math Workbook???

Ok, so I just ran over to Borders and picked up a copy of Gruber's Complete SAT Math Workbook, because it seems like everyone says Gruber's is probably the best for Math.

But I was wondering if I should have gotten Gruber's Complete SAT Guide 2010? The "Complete" guide had a little over 1000 pgs, while the Math workbook had around 420. So I figured the workbook should break down into more content for math, which is what Grubers is known for.

BUT...the only reason why I ask is because all the reviews on Amazon for the complete guide were practically all 5 stars. Yet the math workbook only had two stars, but there was only one review, so just one guys opinion.

What do you think? Should I return it and pay an extra $5 to get the "complete guide"? I don't really need Gruber's for CR or W, though it may be nice, because I have Grammatix and I'm getting Rocket Review.

Thanks!

bump…just looking for so reassurance

From what Ive seen in both books the math is the same. Grubers Complete SAT doesnt even include any actual stuff on CR, and the writing isn’t anything special so I think youll be fine with just the workbook. RR is good for CR and writing though

Thank you.

I’ve got RR from the library. Now I’ve got to balance out which one I need to study from more, as the SAT is only 9 days away. I’ve been doing a little with some Barrons books from the library but I’m really ramp it up now.

…so since most of you are math geniuses already, did any of you find the first few sections in the Gruber’s book really easy? I’m only on like page 70, but on the big diagnostic test, I missed a couple things due to careless errors.

Should I skip select section of the first 200 pages or so, skipping the stuff I feel pretty confident on? I want to know what some of you guys did.

I took the Jan. SAT and got a 640 on the Math section, so I’ve definitely got some room for improvement, but I have not gotten my QAS back yet. I’d like to see exactly where I went wrong.

Thanks!

I was wondering which books are really good for CR? Since grammatix is basically down?

I have so far:

BB
Grubers (for Math)
RR (For Writing)
DH (for Vocab)

woah. i went to amazon to see RR, it’s so expensive! 0.0 whats the dealio

I think the better question is Gruber’s Complete Guide or Gruber’s 2400? I have looked at like 20 different threads and from what I can tell, the math workbook is more basic and does not help as much as the complete guide. But what about Gruber’s 2400? Is that good in math as well or no?

@warlands719 - RR is out of print, thats why its so expensive. However if you look around online you will be able to find older versions that are essentially the same for much cheaper prices.
