Congrats to those who have been accepted and are going to defer to fall and those who are accepted for the Fall term. There is a 'Class of 17' fb page for anyone interested in meeting other students. I just wanted to start this thread so we could ask each other questions and get to know each other. It could also help when you submit your housing application in Feb if you're interested in UAH.

By the way if anyone is looking for a roommate send me an message.

Cheers!

Hey,

I ended up deferring to the fall due to work related reasons, so I expect Ill be moving to NYC around June.

Cant wait to see you all on campus!

Cheers

Deferred to fall for baby. WarreJor, are you joining the reserves or are you done for good?

Nice, where are you guys from?

I plan on getting out for good, I want to be able to take full advantage of studying abroad and all of my opportunities at CU without anything holding me back.

I’m moving back to PA in May and then to NYC hopefully in August.

I’m from Seattle. Just got out of the Navy in September. Are you trying to do the Dual BA with Sciences Po? I want to study abroad, but it’s going to take a bit of finesse to do it with a baby. Also, I saw on one of your other threads you said you were looking at being in debt 33k. What kind of numbers were you crunching? I wasn’t coming out that far behind.

Nice congrats again man. No I came up with that number before I saw the NY tuition rates, referring to the states that pay more than the normal 9/11 amounts. So instead of 18k per year you can get 12k per semester depending on how many credits you take. That, plus the Yellow Ribbon program which continues to rise in both the amount of money and ‘boat spaces’ available each year. YR has been rising about 1k per year and 100 seats every 2 years. So with all the benefits plus the 2800 BAH each month I think myself and most students should come out alright. Plus there is always the Tillman scholarship and other aid available.

No I’m not doing Sciences Po, or atleast I don’t plan to; I’ll have to look into it more. I’m just trying to major in Sustainable Development and try to get summer internships in DC or something with a senator on an Energy subcommittee. (I want to get into alt energy stuff)

Congrats to all! I have also deferred to Fall 2013 and look forward to meeting all of my fellow classmates. First time poster.
I would love to check out the facebook page WarreJor- what is the actual name of the page?

Hi all, I’m currently deferring so I’ll be joining you in Fall of '13. I’ll check out the FB page. Lovely to meet you all, and congrats on the new addition Sean!
