GS or SEAS?

I want to do engineering, but more importantly, I want to study at Columbia.

I'd like to do Applied Mathematics, but possible Engineering Management Systems in SEAS. In addition, I am 20 and have taken some time off from school.

On Columbia's website for non-traditional students, they state that if you want to study engineering, you should apply to SEAS, but that if you want to study in the college that you should apply to GS.

I found out a few days ago that you can only apply to GS if you haven't applied to Columbia in the past three years, so I'm wondering if I should apply as SEAS (I've already sent the first part), or should I tell them to cancel my application and reapply to GS. Are non-traditional SEAS students allowed to study part time and/or are they subject to the same entrance requirements as freshmen?

I know I could get into GS, but if I'm going up against people with flawless SAT scores, I probably wouldn't get into SEAS as I studied abroad and did not have SAT preparation, despite having taken the test.

Thanks in advance.
