GS Roomies/Roomate Search (Fall 2012)

Hey all!

My housing application has been approved but I haven’t been assigned anything yet. I might be interested in finding a roommate if it would be possible to find something nicer than a dorm in close proximity to the university. I’m 21 (22 this summer), female, I’m fairly quiet and tidy… Art History major. I signed up for the June 26 APS as well – I look forward to meeting you all!

Added you on Storybook.I’m in the midst looking for apartments just incase I get put on waiting list. Yeah,I’m still waiting for a housing assignment from UAH.From what I’ve heard,it usually is faster if one could afford a bigger monthly rent.

Whats up Olivia! Its John from Storybook! You are so lucky you got housing, I got wait listed. How much is UAH asking for?

And Silverrock24, Whats your name? You can look me up on storybook I am John Kim :)

Hey all just got the phone call today! Very excited to attend GS this fall. Anyone out there still looking for a roommate? 27 year old former Marine veteran and future econ major.

Hey dw!
First of all, Congrats on the acceptance. I was at the APS on Tuesday and there were quite a few MiliVets, so you’ll feel quite at home here. I’m actually still looking for a roommate myself. I applied for housing, but it looks like I’m going to be waitlisted or rejected seeing as I’m moving from Jersey. Are you moving in from the tri-state area?

Woohoo! Just got UAH approved and assigned to 503 west 121st st. “The Fairholm” anyone know anything about it by any chance?

The Fairholm is chock full of GS students (I think it’s the single most common GS building). Renovation/quality wise it’s not the best building, from what I hear. Certainly adequate, but go with low expectations and you’ll be fine. The location is reasonably good, just 5-10 minutes to campus, a few grocery stores, and you’re between the 1 and the ABCD subway lines.
