Not all colleges have a liasion with GS. For students in those that don't, what is the application deadline for the summer internship program? Are the decisions made on a "rolling" basis?

I am wondering the same thing.

Also, what is up with JPM rising freshman/sophomore program? There website has been down for a while and they have no information available about this program. Is this program like GS' program where one must be invited to apply?

My school's OCR for GS was due December 1st.

Good luck finding an interview though. I got rejected flat out (as a junior for IBD) with a 4.0, a few finance related internships, honors program, etc.

I sent JP Morgan an e-mail about the same thing, but haven't got a reply yet.

I went to a GS diversity event in their NYC office and there they told me the deadline for summer analyst positions was December 15th. You could always try to still apply through their website though..

And yeah, JPM has been really weird, they said their app would only be out 1/1-1/15 but their website has been down the last few days so I'm not sure what's going on there..

That is weird, because the GS website says that deadlines for summer analyst positions are "in January" -- without specifying a date.

How much time does GS take to reject under qualified or "qualified but not fitting" applicants after their applications are received? Right away? Is everyone notified at the same time like how colleges mail decision letters?

I am asking this because it has been over a month since I submitted my application but I haven't heard back yet. Do any of you guys know anyone who has already heard back and was denied? Do they even send out rejection letters?

Yeah, they send out rejection emails. Hang on tight, its still early.

GS resume drop is Jan 12th at my school

Thanks guys. Does anyone know if spring program applicants go through the same rigorous interviews as junior SA applicants?

They don't. When I had my spring interview last year, the hardest question I got was, "pitch me a stock."

Other than that, all the other questions were behavioral.

That information is pure gold! Thanks a lot grandpabuzz! So is there just one round of interviews for spring program applicants?

That's right. From my school, they took 2/10 they interviewed.

For JPMorgan IBD SA for freshman and sophomores, the deadline for resume submission at my school is 1/12 with an attached interview schedule for 2/03.

For GS internships for sophomores and juniors, the deadline for resume submission is 1/26 with an attached interview schedule for 2/17.

There are OCR summer internships, and the deadlines vary school by school. Successful candidates are notified a few days after the deadline that they are selected for the interview. If you're not selected, you may never hear back.

For those applying through the company's website, they have separate recruiting coordinators in charge of all those those applications.

Thanks for the info PlayerHater. Do you (or anyone else) know(s) how many spring interns they generally accept compared to summer analysts?

How about the JPM Honors Program for freshmen and sophomores, do they also have only 1 round of interviews?

I interviewed for JPM honors my freshman year. There were two rounds (I did not get pass the first round). However, my first round interview was completely behavioral.

Thanks grandpabuzz.

grandpabuzz, how hard is it to get an interview for JPM Honors? Is it even worth applying if you don't have a GPA of between 3.8-4.0?
