Gsae exam for general studies students

Hi there,

I will be taking the GSAE in March and have been studying the SAT verbal section. I'm wondering if anyone here has taken the GSAE yet and would be able to shed some light on it. I do not think it's not ethical to talk about the essay portion because if the GSAE was created by collegeboard, which it is, then there will be a different SAT essay question every time. I just want to get an idea of what kind of essay topic it's going to be. Also I remember, reading an old thread where someone mentioned that their are graphs that need to be interpreted on the exam. Does that mean their is math in it?

If anyone could share their experiences, it'd be great.

If you do a search for “GSAE” on this board you will find a lot of information. If you are comfortable with basic sentence structure, reading comprehension and critical thinking you will be fine. There are graphs in the critical thinking section, but there is no math, you’re just asked to interpret them.

I just finished the exam today. It was very easy except I didn’t finish all the reading comprehension in time but I’m pretty sure that I got every single question right that I did answer on that section and I hope that is what counts. They say incorrect answers don’t count against so I don’t know. I think I was behind by 15 questions. Does this mean I did poorly in this section?
