Hey everyone! I’m an admitted student for RPI GSAS and I plan to dual major in CS, and was wondering what kind of students (and skill level) make up the GSAS program? I’m one of the odd cases that got in without a portfolio but I’m hoping everyone else will be immensly better than me narrative and art wise, as I enjoy working with artsy types the most. Could anyone give me some info on their program and what the classes focus on mostly? I’m considering Rpi against a few other schools that I’d only major in CS, but would be able to work with the super artsy types that aren’t programmers themselves. I’d rather not be shown up by every genius programmer around me and just lose all motivation to progress my skills; most programmers I’ve met so far are also unsociable so that’s another reason I gravitate towards the designers.
