GSFAPPS (hope scholarship) mistake & help needed

Hi CC, I’m having a serious problem atm.

I recently applied for the Georgia Hope Scholarship using the GSFAPPS from GACollege411, however 1 day after completing the app.. I was sent this e-mail with the subject:

“GSFAPPS Application Not Approved”
Based upon edits run while processing your electronic application for State of Georgia financial aid, it appears you may not be eligible based upon:

Selective Service.

So basically they are saying I’m not eligible for HOPE now because of something I put pertaining to Selective Service… I did not know what to put for the choices for Selective Service so I just put an option called Not registered with SS or something because I’m not 18 years old >_<…

Any idea? Sorry If I’m unclear, but I think they believe that I’m not going to volunteer to be drafted if needed based on what I put.

You can register at 17 yrs and 3 months, so go ahead and register and contact the FA people.

@Alfonsia Where do I go to register :open_mouth: Also, I’ve already e-mailed them about my mistake to no avail

When I try to submit the application, it states that their record already has my information on file and that It will be held until my birthday… but that’s IN FEBRUARY!! What should I do now
