<p>its this sunday? i just got the notification that i got accepted to GSP and my "formal" acceptance hasn't come yet neither has an invite...sigh...</p>
<p>If you just got your acceptance, then I would assume you are in a different "wave" of notifications than razy. NYU's website says they space out notifications because they have several different Accepted Students' Days and they need to space out invitations (at least for CAS). Are you sure it doesn't say anything about an accepted students' day on the informal acceptance letter?</p>
<p>The size of my group for Admitted Students' Day (at NYU) was very small--I'd say maybe 20-30 students with their parents. Although they do hold receptions across the country, I'm guessing that most students do come from the surrounding areas, and NYU is widely spacing out their groups to keep the intimacy of the reception.</p>
<p>If you want to avoid risking any mistake, you could always call up the admissions office.</p>
