Hi, does anyone know if doing GSP will hurt my chances of getting into a good law/business school or getting a good job after I graduate?

It shouldn't be a problem, because you'll be ultimately graduating from the original school you applied to (stern?). You'll be just like the other NYU'ers.

no way. you're GSP grades are separate and stop counting towards your GPA after sophomore year. your grad school will focus on your CAS or Stern grades so don't worry

Alright, thanks for the replies...I guess I'm going to NYU!!!

GOOD!! :) I'm so happy for you!!! :)

So in reference to jason's comment...

Once you transfer into CAS or wherever from GSP, your junior and senior grades are the only ones that grad schools consider? Tizzite.

Just to make one thing clear. GSP and getting right into CAS is the same thing. You should be lucky to get into GSP becuase IMO it is better getting right in. It teaches you more and gets you prepared more. + classes are small and teachers are nice.

This might also be of interest to you. From people in the program.

Good luck!

Yeah that really helped, thanks a lot. Do you know of any more links like that?

honestly, i suggest you call NYU and ask to talk to someone who can tell you about the GSP program--they'll give you tons of useful info and will answer all questions. :)
