Fall '07 GT's...I think we'll soon get our decisions, I'm an ILR GT and the online page said to check back after April 9th? I looked through the threads and found the GT's from last yr and it seems the decisions came out about this time!

Ok...so now I'm mildly anxious...actually really nervous about this lol ahhhhh...this is probably not a big deal but I'm still really scared...i have this feeling they might find some random thing and thus deny me acceptance, I'll be crushed cuz I fully dedicated all my efforts towards this :(

This is the thread from last yr just in case u might be interested:

i was all excited about it cuz I have done everything right, to my knowledge…but all the sudden the thought of rejection dawned on me…lol so I emailed Ian and told him how I was curious…kinda pointless I know, but hope he responds back…hahah it’s probably just pointless worry, I had to express it tho :)

Gosh now I feel like a weirdo for posting this lol

It'll just be nice to see it on paper even though I already expect to have it say that I'll be in. If I don't get in I'd freakkkkkk out so I'm not even gonna think about it cuz I know everything will be alright :)

lmao I was reading em for entertainment and suddenely I am IN that thread! Wow that was SUPRISING! lol (and I act really really blunt in it lol ;) )

"No offense but if someone wanted to Cornell SO BADLY then how couldn't they get a 3.0 at another school (when there's a good chance that Cornell is going to be even harder than that school also)? I have to get a 3.3 for my freshman year and I will DEFINITELY get it NO MATTER WHAT...period. Congrats to the incoming GT's!!! HAVE FUN, YOU'VE FINALLY GOTTEN WHAT YOU'VE WORKED FOR!"

Made me laugh so hard that I said that! hahaha. I got nice after that tho :) LOL!

Alright, anyone know when AEM Gts are supposed to find out? In this forum, I really don't know any other AEM GT. :-( Thanks! Btw..before you call me stupid lol...I don't see anything on the application status page. Thanks!

Ya..before they had this thing that said to check back after the 9th, but now on my status page, at the very bottom of the page, it says that my application has been forwarded to ILR…so I’m not really sure!

Hi, all--This thread makes me nervous about the so-called (yes?) "Guaranteed" Transfer--why the worry from you all, if you've met the requirements? I really don't want my son (recent GT offer for Class of '11) to have to go through these kinds of application jitters again like he did this year. This year has already been too much! Are you really that nervous that Cornell will reject your transfers after all of this pain and aggravation???

Oh no Dr._Mom, didn’t mean for it to come across like that…I guess getting a little nervous is only human…and I’m slightly weird! i can’t think of anything I should be worried about, yet I can’t help feeling a bit anxious :) somehow the whole waiting process has conjured up some bad memories from last yr for me…hahaha lol
I’m sure ur son will be absolutely fine! ;)

Thanks, Acerbic--I just read through the entire 2006 thread at the link above. Pretty scary stuff! All that tense waiting for a "decision" after 1 or 2 years of hard work. Doesn't seem right somehow. I wonder how many of those who were "rejected" either did not get their courses pre-approved for transfer or did not meet other requirements. In other words, was there anyone you know of who met all of the requirements and still did not get in? That doesn't seem like it would happen...Do you think it could potentially be that the students kind of lose track of their Cornell requirements while at their other school? Thanks! :)
