<p>i have applied for phd and my status says “preeval. dept decision pending” how long does it take from here to announce selections and how will i get the intimation? through buzzport?</p>

<p>Me too, Jacket Boy! Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever wanted anything more in my life than I have wanted to go to Georgia Tech once I started looking at colleges. I am so anxious for Friday. Good luck to everyone!!!

<p>I’ve heard that if you’ve been differed from early action your chances are really good. 
It makes sense, applying for early action shows that you’re committed to Tech! I was differed too so I’ve been running through my head calculating my GPA, class rank, and everything else . . . 24 hours!!</p>

<p>I am still relieved that I was deferred instead of being denied. It definitely makes me feel like I have a chance of being accepted tomorrow - especially because I addressed some of the reasons I was deferred.</p>

<p>There’s some statistics - the ratio is going to be even better this year with a 14% rise in female acceptances. Probably looking at ~63/37?</p>
<p>Interesting post by the AJC. It looks as if even though applications from GA dropped, they will still admit the same NUMBER (not percentage) of in-state students this year. Nice! :)</p>

<p>wow those averages look extremely high!? last years middle 50 SAT was 1900-2130, and this years average according to that 2102. which is essentially last years 75th percentile and the same can be applied bout the GPA.</p>

<p>^the acceptance SATs and such are always higher then the SATs of the people who actually end up going.</p>
<p>I sure hope so! Any guess on how different will it be? Do u think it wil more or less be the same as it was last year, maybe a little more?</p>
