Explanations:Sophomore year I got sick for three weeks the month before finals, and just couldn't catch up, so i got a 2.9UW GPA. Junior Year I got a D in Calc AB, just couldn't figure it out no matter how hard I tried. Got a C 2nd semester and a 3 on the AP Test out of sheer effort (and maintained a 3.7/4.0 GPA that semester as well).</p>

<p>Your test scores are good, and it’s interesting that you spent a year abroad in China! I would definitely capitalize on that in your application, and your football experience will probably distinguish you from other asian males! Also, please don’t take my opinions super duper seriously, I’m not familiar with your school’s GPA system. You definitely will have a good application, especially if you back it up with a great essay.</p>

<p>I’ll be honest, I don’t really know much about the colleges you are applying to, except for USC (if that’s Southern California, not Southern Carolina). I would say that USC is a reach with your GPA. Like OhRylie said, emphasize your year in China on your application. Also, passing the level 10 piano test is very impressive, or at least it is in California where I live. Sorry I wasn’t much of a help, but, like I said, I’m not too familiar with the colleges you’re applying to.</p>
