I'm torn between these two schools, and I wanted to know anything that'll help me in making my decision. I'm OOS for both, and I know that, ranking wise, UIUC is better for management. If any of you know any details about the business management programs in these two schools, please share.

P.S- If I go with one of these two, and decide that the other was a better choice, how easy/hard is it to transfer from one from the other? are the credits accepted?

thanks.

Is there anything in particular that you want to study within business?

This was actually my last decision to make as well, UIUC and GT. I chose GT because it’s $10k cheaper, and (at least in the southeast) its name is far more recognizable and people know we bust our butts here to earn a degree.

Actually, Georgia Tech is ranked higher for management. People generally look at the MBA rankings when comparing undergraduate business schools.

The reason is that companies rarely target schools to just hire undergraduate business majors (with a few exceptions for very top programs). Usually, companies select colleges based on their MBA program or other programs (such as engineering or computer science) then recruit undergraduate business students at campuses they’ve already selected.

People might reply and tell you that I’m crazy, but that is what I normally see outside of the Top 5 or so undergraduate business programs.
