Gtech CC Top University?

I definitely think Georgia Tech deserves to be listed as a CC Top University. It's one of the top engineering schools in the nation plus more! Who agrees?

i agree:) then again, i’m biased… but it’s definitely high up:) and top 5 for engineering :-)

Plus it will make this section of the forum more active and organized. And yea Gtech is actually within the top 5 for most Engineering categories. I’m a lil bit biased (sister goes there and I got accepted) but I got into another good school.

How do we make that happen?

I agree. It’s a very active forum. Look at how quickly you got responses.

we contact CC and demand them to change it?

wthalexis1: are you accepted by GT?

But U.S. news ranks it 35th. I’m aware of its engineering prestige but schools in the CC Top University category are ranked holistically and not just on any program.

yea I was accepted but I’m probably not going, and schools such as UNC and UMich are in the high 20’s in ranking are listed there. I just wish Gtech would reserve more recognition in some way. Also if CC has a Liberal Arts section, why not have an Engineering one so GT could be there. It gets annoying having to go through various subforums trying to get here. Plus it’ll be easier for people to learn about GT if it was featured as a top university.

and the GT Jackets are #9 baby - headed to the Orange Bowl! What up!!

We need to keep posting threads and responding to them and we need to have a lot of activity in the Georgia Tech forum to get it moved to CC Top University.

That’s not how it works. I first found CC back in 2003 or 2004 (and forgot about it until I was applying to grad school) and the universities then are the universities now on the “top universities” list. I don’t know how exactly it works, but it has nothing to do with forum traffic.

It may not deal with forum traffic but every little bit helps.

can we get a super moderator or site admin to comment??

I agree with this motion - no other student can pronounce that they are helluvan engineer. UIUC, Michigan - they might have good engineers, but not helluvsome engineers.
