<p>I got off waitlist for Gtown MSB today. I'm very excited.</p>
<p>I just wanted to ask how respectable MSB is in the business world; I know Gtown is known for SFS, so what about MSB?
Is there a lot of internships available, are there a lot of recruiters?</p>
<p>I sent my deposit to BC Carroll for finance. I'm pretty sure I put down finance for Gtown as well.</p>
<p>Any ideas?</p>
<p>If you are interested in finance, Washington, DC will be the place to be for at least the next 4 years. Internship opportunities are ridiculous at the federal reserve bank, fannie mae, securities and exchange commission, International Monetary Fund, World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, Senate Finance Committee, House Finance Committee, Senate Banking Committee, FDIC, along with the traditional opportunities in investment banks and brokerages. Moreover DC is a hotbed for management consultants specializing in bankruptcy, corporate restructuring, and turnarounds.</p>
<p>Georgetown MSB is the #2 recruited school on Wall Street. We just got a new, fabulous building that is going to have top-notch technology and this way, all the business classes and business professors will be in one place. I was also considering BC Carroll but ultimately picked Georgetown. The people I met were more impressive at Georgetown and I found a marketing professor I really liked.</p>

<p>GOOSEBUMPS, sorry, but no way is MSB the #2 recruited school on Wall Street — try HYP, Wharton, Cornell, Stern . . .</p>
<p>MSB is #2 recruited school (in terms of number of recruits) by some firms (GS I know said this in their info session last year)… but those aren’t banking, S&T jobs exclusively, lots of Ops…</p>
<p>Wall Street is no longer the center of the world for finance in 2009. Washington DC has now supplanted it and Georgetown MSB is at the center of the action. MSB"S MBA has now been rated top 20 as well.</p>
