Are there a lot of GU GW couples and well does that work?

I don't know how many GU-GW couples there are, but I'm the Hoya half of one.

Though it's not quite the same experience as dating someone on campus would be, the two schools are close enough (and connected by bus and metro) that there's nothing prohibitive about the distance. It's not always fun to make the trek- it takes me about 40 minutes by GUTS bus, metro, and a five-block walk- it's cheap and worthwhile.

My boyfriend lives just a couple blocks from the White House and sometimes it's so nice to have a reason and incentive to leave Georgetown for a little bit and experience something very different.

Off the top of my head, one of the most annoying things is the different school breaks. We rarely have days off at the same time, and our spring breaks are different weeks (one right after the other), so that makes travel impossible during the school year.

So I guess I could sum up all my random thoughts by saying that dating a guy who goes to GW is not always completely convenient, but usually refreshing, fun, and totally worth it- it makes us both happy :-)

I hate to burst your bubble, but if your biggest concern is whether GT and GW folks date, you need to take a time out. Of course they do!!! And if you cannot handle a one mile "commute" between a GT and GW boyfriend/grirefriend, you should reconder going to either, IMHO. Having said that, both are great schools!
