<p>Okay so i just confirmed it with the Director Of Admissions of the Hotel School. If you don't make it off the waitlist, you will be offered a "Preferred Transfer" spot for the January Semester. They also said that they will mail out those letters with further details in a week to all of the waitlistees.</p>

<p>Seems to me that 'guaranteeing' a transfer is about as 'preferred' as you can get. :-) </p>

<p>But perhaps the difference is that preferred transfers can enter earlier than guaranteed transfers. I know my d's GT agreement requires 8 classes over two semesters before transfer...and I'm not sure I've heard of any other GTs that require only one semester before transfer. And then the preferred may not be a guarantee...but preferential consideration within the entire January transfer applicant pool. Just speculating.</p>

@hotelwaitlist I am wait listed right now for sha. Are you saying I will be offered Gt if not accepted this year?
