Does anybody know when we get notified for the guaranteed program? I got accepted for pre-dent but it doesn't say anything about the program. Does it mean that I did not get accepted to the program or will the acceptance for the program come in the future?

I received my guarantee a couple of weeks after my acceptance. However the requirements are very strict:
-maintain a regular and science GPA of 3.8
-receive a predetermined score on the DAT (currently a 22)
- do well on the interview

Since both the DAT and GPA are well above the school’s averages, I don’t see the auto-admit as a huge advantage

Thanks for the reply! I just got my acceptance like two days ago so I guess I’ll have to wait and see… If you don’t mind, can you please tell me (pm or post) what your stats/ecs are?

GPA UW: 4.0
W: 4.8
ACT: 32 (33 super-scored)

Mostly honors and AP classes, school does not rank (around 700 students per class)

Extracurricular:
Year-round soccer (high school and club)
Yearbook editor
Newspaper editor
NHS

Work: soccer referee

I was also awarded a full tuition scholarship and invited to apply for the chancellors

Good luck!

Wow, Congratulations!!! Are you planning to attend Pitt?

At this point yes! However, I want to keep my options open

I also got accepted to the dental program! This was back in october but I didn’t bother checking the Pitt page on CC for some reason…don’t you guys think that the criteria they are asking us for is super high? considering their averages are much lower? I also got into the honors but haven’t heard anything about scholarship yet :. I live in the pittsburgh area so I wouldn’t mind going to pitt, but it isn’t my top choice

Do you actually need a 3.8 GPA to get into Pitt Dent w/o a conditional spot???

@justino No you don’t. On average, kids had a 3.5-3.6 gap with a 20 on the DAT which makes the program (requiring a 3.8 and 22) seem extremely high for their school
