Successful actors, directors, designers… they make their own opportunities. They know how to network and pull int he talents around them. They foster collaborative relationships. They can make work when no other work is available. Independent, student run workshops is an excellent experience at the college level. Simply doing mainstage shows produced by staffers isn’t adequate preparation for the real world.
