Guaranteed Housing?

I was accepted to the U of M for CSE but I am not sure if I will be attending. Should I still apply for guaranteed housing just to make sure I have somewhere to live if I do decide to go?

I asked my counselor about this and she said that I should definitely put in a housing application anyway. However, when I tried to fill out the online application, and after I paid the $25 non-refundable fee, it started asking me about selecting a meal plan and other options that I am not sure about yet. If I do complete the application for guaranteed housing, will I still be able to back out?

I haven't submitted my enrollment confirmation yet either.

Thanks for the help guys!

I think this thread will answer your questions:

Yes, you can still back out as long as you don’t send in the enrollment deposit, they will just keep your $25.
