Hey I am am trying to get a guaranteed acceptance into Pitt's med school. I know it is very competitive but I just wanted to know does it hurt my chances that I haven't submitted my application even though the deadline is December 15? Will it be beneficial at all to send it ASAP? Thanks

With respect to admissions at UPitt, the sooner you submit your application, the better. Since people are admitted to both the university, the honors college, and guaranteed admissions programs on a rolling basis, it is best to apply early (when spots are most plentiful) rather than later (when spots are even more limited). Thus, I would apply right away if possible That way you’ll know earlier and have a better chance of getting into this highly selective program.

Applying earlier now would help your application to Pitt undergrad, but it won’t help your application to the medical school. The guaranteed acceptance program for medicine isn’t rolling like some of the other guaranteed programs at Pitt.

Has anyone received the Guaranteed med school acceptance or get a call for interview yet ?

^ Probably no one will for a while. They’ll send you a letter asking for additional materials for the program, and then after you submit by a deadline they start giving out interviews.

Yep as of last week they hadn’t even started considering people for the med school guarantee yet. This info straight from office of admissions

Well, I got an email for it today actually, with the online app login stuff, even though i have no interest in applying, just thought I’d let you know.

Hmm, maybe they have changed the process this year. Last year everything had to either be submitted by paper or emailed by a deadline. It’s good that they’re taking a step up and making everything more organized.
