Am I basically part of Cornell 2010 if I am a guaranteed transfer?

You will get a letter explaining all of the information. (I just got mine today). If u get a certrain gpa (3.3 for me), take certain core classes, and take a certain about of credits per semester (15 for me), then you are guaranteed a spot! So have fun and work hard at the college you go to for your first year and maybe I'll meet you sophomore year! (Where are you from and what college did you apply to that you got the GT?) Congrats!

figgy, which school did you applied to?

ILR (taking up the rest of the 10 characters needed to post)

You sure Figgy, that if you get a gpa of at least 3.3 and take all the core class you'll be guarantee a space in cornell???

I have 3.3 gpa and probably this semester it will be better, and until the end of this semester I will have about 35 credits, so what do you consider a core class, I'm still havn't receive any letters from Cornell, am I being rejected? and if Cornell do reject applicant do they at least send out a letter saids "you can stop hoping now and its all over"

X_X<------STILL WAITING... SOMEONE HELP!!

And Whats ILR??? IM LOSS IN THE PROCESS OF CORNELL'S ACCEPTANCES AND DENIES

If you get a GT letter in the mail then ull get the list of requirments. I got a GT for the ILR college of Cornell U. You would have already gotten it I think... I am a highschool applicant applying for freshman year. You sound like perhaps you are a college transfer applicant, which is different. Are you a GT already or are you hoping to be. I don't really understand your situation.

Im a college transfer, this is very complicated because I'm actually in my senior of high school. There is this program in Clarkson University that accept high school juniors in the program, I decided to gratudate early to get some federal scholarships for the tuition and now because my credit is way over the qualification for Freshman application, Cornell decided to see me as Transfer student instead of Freshman.

Thats a unique but great thing!

did anyone receive anything after mailing in statement of intent for gt?

I returned the Statement of Intent.

Anyone get something else?

I returned it got nothing, wait so I can count myself as cornell 2010!?!

btw our transfer dean, Ian, is soo nice.

i got the Guaranteed Transfer for ILR at Cornell as well. . .but I'm worried about some things. . .such as, because we don't have to apply, when is everything "final"? . . .when do we know we can enroll, and everything? i put down that i accepted the guaranteed transfer on my letter of intent. . .also i wanted to meet some other people who are in the same situation. . .

Our d was also accepted as transfer. She is going to attend UCD this year. We've been working with the admissions at Cornell to line up the classes they want her to take this year before transferring. They've been great to work with.

Hey mets congrats. You'll find lots of these threads if you check out the forums (just if you wanna become more familiar with the thought). Good luck and like collegemom said, they are really helpful with everything and I think everything is going to work out for the best for us!

Hello, my name is Laura, and I'm a senior in the ILR school at Cornell. I'm currently working as a student advisor for transfers to the ILR school. If you are a transfer to Cornell OR if you are interested in the ILR school, feel free to e-mail me (las224@cornell.edu) to introduce yourself or ask any questions you may have.

Hey do you have facebook? I just made mine and I wanna get some ILR/Cornell/gts on there to talk with. So how's it going? Were you a transfer?
