guaranteed Transfer decision date

Thanks CornellAEM241. You made my day. I've been worrying about this for the last two years and it's made my life very hectic. I don't mind transferring, and I don't mind staying at my current college because I really like it here. It's just the not-knowing part that drives me nuts because I'm the kind of person that likes to plan way ahead.

Anyway, thanks for the input. Also, you applied to CALS, correct? Wow, I don't know if I can wait until the 14th!!! ohhhh so impatient now.

Well thanks. Anymore info that you can give me would be great. Thanks so much!

bumping up! :)

Hi all GTs, does anyone see the line "please submit your Cornell Supplement" at the bottom of their Check Application Status page? Are they talking about the supplement and essays that we handed in for the freshmen application, or is this a reminder that I'm still missing material?

Hello to all my fellow GTers, I'm a GT in CALS. The GPA requirement is 3.0 for every major in CALS, except Biological Sciences, which is 3.3. My Cumulative gpa is 3.306 so I have the requirement (it's 3.0 for my major), but I failed a required course which I later retook and got a B (the required grade) in (I had a major family crisis at the time). I can't believe I still met the required gpa even with the 4 credit F. But I'm so nervous, as I'm sure you guys can understand. Cornell is really the only school I want to go to. I hope to see you all at Cornell in the fall.

CornellAEM, you made me feel better, but I'm still so nervous. Let's keep this thread going for everyone out there nervously awaiting their gt acceptances.

bump................

im getting very nervous regarding "if" i still get in....well i got enough financial aid to go....anyone having similar thoughts?

bummmppp........

Hi, I just have a few question for those who were offered guranteed transfer?

1) Do they give you any 'good' financial aid packages?

2) Does Cornell and its teachers treat the "gt" any different?

2) How does Cornell treat your transcript and grades from your previous college?

tryin to keep this on the first page at least.......

Don't get me wrong but why would you transfer??? If you are good enough to get in to Cornell on GT you probably are at a top school now, so why would you transfer?

well for me it's because i really want to study pre-veterinary animal science at cornell because it has the best program in the country. while i love my current school and it will be very difficult to leave everyone i love here... my current school has no pre-vet or ansci major. therefore it makes the most sense for me.

macksix, I can understand what you are saying, but for me personally, I made some bad decisions in applying to colleges out of high school. I applied to Cornell ED, got defered to RD, then got the GT. Applying to Cornell ED was the only wise decision I made in the college application process. My entire application process was really weird too because I only got accepted to my safety schools. I considered my match to be NYU because I had their averages for SATs and Grades, and oh yea both my parents went there. I didn't get into NYU. But basically my entire high school career it was Cornell or bust for me. You do make a good point about how you can get a GT you can probably get into other top schools, but I screwed up my high school application cycle. But whatever, I have GT and hopefully I'll get into Cornell. I think Cornell just seems to be the right fit for me. Also, I really like the major I'm applying for there.
