Guaranteed Transfer?

My senior year is now coming to a close and I’ve officially committed to Syracuse University to study at the Newhouse School of Communications. I’m very excited and happy with my decision and I feel really lucky to have been accepted to Newhouse.
However, one of my admission decisions was guaranteed transfer to Boston University in the fall of 2016. I feel really conflicted about it because I love Boston University and feel lucky to have been given this opportunity. Does anyone on here have experience with guaranteed transfer? None of my friends got guaranteed transfer anywhere so I really feel confused about the whole thing and if it’s the right thing to do. I know I have a year to decide but I’d love any thoughts.
Thanks.

Syracuse Newhouse is a fantastic program. Give it a try. If you don’t like it, you have an option out that’s guaranteed. If you don’t want to go to BU… no biggie. Congratulations!

I’d start off at Syracuse with the idea that you will stay. If you don’t like the way things are going there you can consider BU. The Newhouse School is supposed to be terrific.
