Guarenteed acceptance into Umich?

A person at my school last year got into Umich. He was the "school drunk" basically, and I know he did not have a good gpa, nor a good sat school. Everyone assumed he would go to community college.

He said he did some kind of program at UofM, and thats how he got in. If he did this program, then he would be guarenteed acceptance.

Is there such a program? I was thinking the bridge program, but I don't really know what that is either, so..

I think there's this summer program that UMich has, where if you're accepted, you have to attend the summer program before enrolling at UMich. It's not guaranteed acceptance, but your acceptance hinges on your completion of the summer program.
Bah, can't find the link right now, but I think the other forum veterans can help out.
