Yes, I caught the dreaded swine flu on campus at Choate Rosemary Hall. It is kind of a joke- if you're moderately healthy with no underlying heart/respiratory problems, it's not even as bad as the regular flu. Headache, fatigue, chills, and a high fever. No throwing up, no diarrhea (ew), nothing else disgusting. Over 200 confirmed cases at Choate, with the majority of them being day students or boarders who live nearby and are sent home. The rest of us unfortunates are kept in the health center, or in their rooms (if they're an upperclassmen/the lucky few with only a moderate fever).

I have been in the health center for over 30 hours, and although it is MISERABLE, it's probably for the best. My last fever was yesterday at 6 p.m., and I will probably be released tonight.

Ugh. Swine flu.

(Every time I have my temperature taken and I don't have a fever, it's like winning the lottery.)

i hope you get out of the health center!
haha the way you want to get out so bad reminds me of how harry is always trying toget out of the hospital wing. XD

Very sorry to hear that Saer — my son told me that there were alot of kids that had taken ill; and so quickly too — after only one week of classes. Hope you got out at 5 to enjoy the beautiful weather right now!

I hope you get healthy soon Saer but don’t rush out of there too soon so you don’t infect everybody… I wonder if you can get infected through the internet??? :D

I am amazed to hear that 200 students have swine flu! How is this impacting your classes? Are regular classes being held, and all of the sick kids will just make up the work next week?
