I will be attending syracuse in the fall and i read online that they have a 6 night per month guest policy. They have made it apparent that they are strict with this and will not allow the same guest to stay more than 6 nights in any month or allow you to have any # of guests more than 6 nights.

My question is whether or not any current SU students have found ways around this or don't really find that it is being inforced? please let me know or give any imput that you may have!

Ok I haven’t really had a problem with this especially because often if you are hanging out with someone for the night then they can come over before they start checking IDs (at 8pm). If the person’s already in the building before they check IDs then they can just stay in the building.
Also if you actually get to the 6 night limit, a friend of yours that lives in the dorm can always sign your friend in under their name.
And lastly, if you happen to be in flint or day hall and are trying to get to the other, just get someone to swipe you in through the tunnel. They won’t check IDs of people coming from the tunnel.

Because we often study late at night because there’s more homework than we can finish before 8pm. Or if you want to have a friend over to watch a tv show or even for a weekend sleepover. We’re not ONLY there to study. But I agree that studying is important.
