My daughter and I are focusing on girls' schools: Emma Willard, Miss Hall's, Porter's, Westover. My d is an A-A+ student, 73% SSAT, 560 SAT math, some sports and EC's but not tons.

We trying to find a nurturing boarding school (she's young for her age) but also one where she's challenged.

I'm getting mixed messages about where she'll get in and where we'll get FA. Thoughts? Any other schools we should look at?

Emma Willard has programs with RPI where she could pursue the computer stuff. Her stats also seem in line. I know several families with girls who have had a wonderful experience there.

These are last year’s numbers, so you should check with the schools’ websites for the latest numbers. But at least you get a sense of which schools are better able to grant generous FA.

Check out Grier-- the atmosphere is VERY nurturing. People come from all walks of life and I can say that there are definitely groups of friends that are young for their age and that they are not ostracized. There are rigorous academics if you want them, but easy classes if you want. I chose to take all APs and got all 5s so I can say that the classes are up to par.
