I am now going into my senior year and the time to apply to schools draws ever closer, causing my blood pressure to grow ever higher. Could you please help me out by telling me:

1) What are my chances of getting into University of Illinois School of Engineering?

2) Give me a college gauge on what college tier I could apply to. For example, you might write, "I think you could max out at around the Wisconsin-Madison/Purdue level of prestige."

3) Is u of I legit when the say that if you check the box of second consideration and you don't make it into your intended college (i.e. engineering), they will apply you to the field of general studies to see if you make the cut, or should I apply general and switch sophomore year because they lie and really kick you to the curb if you don't make the intended college cut?

About me: I am, at the moment, enveloped in the idea working at Google would be the greatest thing so I am interested in software engineering. I'll admit I've never worked with code before but I fell like my love of math would translate nicely to this field. I am also a big physics fan but that's neither here nor there.

Stat's:

SAT: (M+CR): 1270 (translates to a 28 composite on the ACT) (Everything Together):1880
ACT: Composite: 25 (ouch!)
Highest math sub-score: 31
Highest English sub-score: 28
(I included these because I think U of I factors in sub scores depending on the major)
Overall GPA: 5.4571 on a 5 point scale (I don't know unweighted)
Junior Year: APUSH, AP Lang/Comp, Honors Physics, Honors German, ICA Honors.
Senior Year: AP Gov, AP Psych, Calc BC or AB (long story but it is up in the air as to which one I will be in), AP Physics, AP German, AP Econ, Humanities H (no humanities AP and I love the subject so I didn't choose Eng 4 AP).

Extra curricular stuff:

1) Co-captain of Speech Team
2) Veteran of Foreign Wars Audio Essay Scholarship winner (presented essay in front of my home town on memorial day during our memorial day ceremony)
3) Math Team
4) NHS, German Honors Society, Math Honors Society, and English Honors Society.
5) After school math tutor.
