Guilford College

My family toured Gilford last week. Like so many colleges in the past few years Gilford is changing. They seem to be trying to get back to their Quaker roots and are heavily promoting social responsibility, honor codes, and learning from students and professors by using “open questions” instead of lecturing. Worth investigating and the only school that we visited that spent a lot of time on trying to see if the school would be a good match for the student and not just “selling the school”. Social Activism is not just a hippy thing. IMHO. Expect nice lawns and well maintained but simple accommodations and buildings.
