In a perfect world, I could major in European Studies and live happily ever after using my language skills to secure a good job in some facet of the international relations field. However, the need to be practical exists. I'm not willing to abandon ES, but I'm wondering what I could pair it with for a more reasonable approach to the "real world". International business? Useful, but to be honest I know nothing about it, including whether or not I would like it. Public policy? Is that any more...tangible? I really appreciate any advice! Thanks!

Take an intro class in both; even if you decide not to double major in one of these fields, they’ll help you in the future. They sound like logical pairings, though. What sort of career are you thinking of?

Unfortunately I don’t have a firm grip on what I’d like to do. I’ve gone about things out of order - rather than choose a career and then go where it takes me, I’ve fallen in love with a place (Poland) and now want a job that will get me there. So I’ve considered teaching English as a foreign language, public relations for a multinational corporation, etc. Nothing concrete :/
