Gulf Coast Communities, Florida, and East Coast Expect Busy Hurricane Season

I am a Floridian

It's going to be another wild year....all that latent heat drives the hurricanes...unfortunately for areas hit hard...

Yeah... we were given some of my AP Environmental Science coursework early to do over the summer to prevent getting behind again.

Same here I have lots of work to do this summer for school...

This year was intense, 'cos we lost a month (I live in Orlando). The eye ripped right through us, and a ton of schools lost power for a while.

I love hurricanes (did you guys see the green lightning and the mustard-colored skies?) but I hate that AP teachers panic about it insanely.

Dr. Grey up's forecast to 15 named, 8 hurricanes, 4 major

My personal forecast: 17 named, 10 hurricanes, 7 major; Due to warmer ocean temperatures than this time last year...Bermuda high may set up in similar position like last year due to hotter "polarized" sea-surface temps to force it southward and steer storms into Florida and Carolinas...

Frances-like storm:
Florida may see 1-2 storms, possibly major
Carolinas may see 1-2 storms, possibly major

Ivan-like storm:
The Gulf Coast may see 2 storms, one possibly extremely intense...
Cuba may see an extremely intense storm...

A storm may develop in July and impact the Gulf Coast with high waves on FL's west coast for good surf...

I have a strong dislike for hurricanes. The area I live in is supported by wells and in order to get water we need power so we didn't have power for like 2 weeks, life sucked!! Also cleaning up the aftermath of a hurricane is a lot of work, especially if you live in an area surrounded by trees like I do.

First day of hurricane season and we had tornadoes on our area of FL this morning!

Hurricanes are intensely exotic and curious forms of nature...but they are terrible for the damage they do....

Yes... the thunder storms all night.... it got so bad that I had to go to my mom's room which it was more quieter in there.

Scary stuff.

Here is a solution that no one will try and everyone will think is crazy. Fly a plane above the hurricane while it is out in the sea. Find the eye of the hurricane. Drop a guided bomb into the eye of the hurricane and detonate it once it is in the middle. Possibly the explosion would remove the oxygen from a portion of the hurricane wall and create a hole thereby disrupting the rotation of the air. As long as the bomb is dropped far away from land, there should not be any risk of injury to humans.

i don't trust any predictions about the severity of a hurricane season. i'm just glad that i won't be in fl anymore after august. yay inland college!
