Guns at school

As for where to get illegal guns, come on...it's not that hard. No one in my family has bought one from a store yet. Garage sales, your uncle, some friend's dad, local classifieds....really not that hard.

I firmly believe in the right to own guns. Any guns, handguns, shotguns, rifles, etc. i don't need the government telling me i'm not smart enough to handle a weapon properly. When I was 9, my dad handed me a rifle and a bag of beer cans and said, "here. go have fun." I have never pointed or used a gun of any kind inappropriately. Believe it or not, they can be positive objects. Banning them is crossing a line, and I wouldn't give mine up, even if they became illegal.

lol good luck to whoever said that guns should be allowed at school...my school doesnt even allow ipods or cell phones : |

on the opposite side, of 1of42, take a look at "More Guns, Less Crime" by John R. Lott Jr.

Very good book. Don't bother looking at the Brady campaign if you're trying to make a logical arguement, they're so full of doodies it's ridiculous.

I'd like to be able to protect myself with a gun in my truck. Pepper spray or taesers don't seem as reliable or as good a deterent.

One guy at my college walks around carrying a wooden (foil?) Japanese sword for training. No complaints yet.

laserprecision: Sure, but that wasn't the point. Even if it was, one would have to assume that the illegality stemmed from the acts not actually being legitimate self-defense.

barfdog17: I'll see if I can find that, thanks for the tip. :)
