Guys, I'm sorry, but it's getting down to the wire and I'd like to know--chances?

Scores: SAT (once, planning to take again) 2240--780CR/720M/740WR (essay 12)
APs: 10th grade-Gov. and Pol., 5
11th grade-Calc AB, Physics B, Eng.3, Spanish, Music Theory, US History, all 5s.
I'm taking 7 more next year.

ECs: Crew, 4 yrs. (Varsity rower and coxswain 3 yrs of the 4)
Drama Club as well as every production so far; I've been Liesl in the Sound of Music and am going to be Cinderella next year.
Philosophy Club, 3 yrs, President next year
Spanish Honors Society, National Honors Society
International Thespian Society, 2 yrs, President.
Student Legislative Assembly (mock-Congress), 3 yrs., committee co-chair 2 years
Student Government, 1 year
I founded a local soup kitchen and have been pretty much single-handedly running it for about 5-6 months, now it's a church-wide mission project.

Awards: Yale University Book Award, 5th in the state on the National Spanish Exam, 3rd place Princeton University 10-min. play contest for HS juniors, attending Governor's School for Drama and nominated to it for History as well.

I speak Spanish near-fluently and am pretty handy with Portuguese and Latin as well.

I'm pretty artsy, I guess, I write all sorts of things and am also musical--I write songs and play alto sax, piano, flute, and guitar, but none award-winningly, per se.

Hooks: No legacy, and I'm white, middle class, and female (grrk, I know).
I did, however, skip two years of Spanish, taught myself Pre-Calc in the first 6 weeks of the school year on top of all my other classes and switched into Calc, and am about to skip two years of Latin.

Opinions would be very much appreciated.

Oh, also, my class schedule junior year was impossibly hard--7 classes in a 6 class day, 6 of which were APs and the only non-AP was an independent study to do two years of latin in 1.

Next year's going to be pretty intense as well, I'm going to be taking 9 classes total (somehow), but I have more going on for me than just school.

Yet another well-qualified non-hooked applicant. You could be accepted or rejected, and neither outcome would be particularly surprising. Work really hard on your essays. They could make or break you. Take a look at the RD thread for this year. It can give you a good idea of where you stand.

thank you--

unless there's something you can find that makes you stand out, i'm not sure. also-what do you want to major in? if you want to major in humanities, i wouldn't bother taking sats again. also-SAT II scores? those are very important.

SAT IIs: 780 Spanish, 760 Math II, 800 US History

And I want to major in physics, and specialize in either astrophysics or quantum physics.

Any suggestions about standing out? What should I highlight?

wait wats ur GPA?

Right now, it's 3.947 UW, and they don't tell us weighted but from what I can gather it's a 5.0. My courseload next year should be 9 courses, three independently, 5 of which are APs, one a beyond-AP level, so it ought to raise that a bit.

you should try to get recruited for crew, otherwise it is a toss-up.
