I want to apply early to Tufts…
Do you guys recommend me not applying to Tufts early?

Tufts, BU, BC, Brandeis, UCLA, Johns Hopkins, Brown, and Carnegie Mellon are all going to be reaches for you with such low GPA and SAT scores.

i hope your applying to more safety schools because like said before, all of those schools are reaches for you. Maybe BU a match. Your scores/GPA are on the lower end for these schools but i think the Korean stuff help set you apart from others. Even though you do have a shot at some of these, try to eliminate the ones you least like and add more safety schools to your list. hope this helps

Your counselor probably knows best if he/she has been there for awhile and knows who got in where. Where Tufts is quite a reach, so is JHU, UCLA and BC… Brown is a non starter and CMU will be tough too.

“Tufts, BU, BC, Brandeis, UCLA, Johns Hopkins, Brown, and Carnegie Mellon are all going to be reaches for you with such low GPA and SAT scores.”

BU is a reach? such “low GPA and SAT scores” ? a 3.35 with 5 APs and 3? honors is fine. A 2090 SATs and stellar SAT II is really good. People with 3.3 and 1650 SATs get into BU, so how is BU a reach for him? Stop putting people down without any basis. He’s in for sure at BU, possibly BC and Brandeis. Tufts along with the others have no grade cut offs, he can get in and a 2400 SATs person would get rejected, for example. It’s really about the rest of the application, who you are, and what difference can you make.

But take a word, you’re 100% in for BU.

ps- sorry for the late response, just came across it!

BU, BC, and Brandeis are all matches/low reaches for you, I think. I would definatly say that BU is your lowest though, you might even be in for sure :)

The others are mid/high reaches though, I’m afraid to say. Good luck.
