Guys versus Girls

LOL...this thread has turned out to be a lot different then i thought it would..

girls are better

They have tact. Guys don't.

They're better looking <-- I think your gender and sexual orientation might have something to do with that response.

They have magic powers. They can heal a bruised ego in under a minute. Or utterly destroy one's if they chose so.

They're more mature...e.g. They don't make those stupid your mom jokes. :P

But honestly, girls are so much better looking than us.
Innocent, soft little things. It's so much easier for them to seduce us than it is for us to seduce them.

But I guess we are a little more loyal than them. lol

"-emotional simplicity/less dramatic than girls"
that's BS, because I swear my ex had more drama around him than every girl I've ever met COMBINED!

What I do like about guys:
-they aren't afraid to talk about things that girls don't talk about
-a freshly showered guy smells yummy
-they can protect me from danger/harm (usually), or at least will try to

Sorry, Metdeth... I didn't mean to overreact. I'm not a crazy feminist, but it annoys me nonetheless to hear comments like that... but I know that you didn't mean it "that way..."

I agree that guys are much more fun to be around. Girls tend to thrive on "drama," and manufacture it to cause excitement. I have more fun playing football, Clue, and tag with my guy friends =P

But, I don't like it when guys dote upon me. I find it extremely obnoxious... acts of affection are okay, but I like to be treated as an equal, not something to be won... I need my independence.

<<<<<<<i think guys are more sincere than girls
a girl, she'll act all nice to you and when you're gone she'll talk bad behind your back
a guy, if he has a problem he'll beat you up and get it over with

guys are less emotional than girls and they're not always crying for stupid reasons and making you feel uncomfortable

also guys are better looking than girls, imo
girls just spend more time on hair, makeup, and clothes- that makes them appear to be better looking>>>>>>

Although I think that's true up to a point, not all girls are like that. I have to admit, more and more girls are becoming lost in their own fluffy little world and being all 'prissy', but there's still the occasional old fashioned, down to earth kinda girl.
See, me, my parents come from China and don't know anything of American pop-culture, so naturally, I was raised away from the makeup-clothes-hair obssessed enviroment. From when I was young, I didn't have those type of distractions, but the disadvantage was that I was so, completely naive in my younger years.
School, unfortunately, influences us very, very, strongly, and I must say, I've been changed for the worse. But still, academic focused people tend to be less, well, obnoxious than other people...

<<<<<<that's so="" true.="" i="" don't="" know="" one="" girl="" who="" doesn't="" do="" that.="" but="" its="" baaaaad.="" mean="" they="" not="" only="" talk="" bad="" scheme="" and="" all="" these="" things.="" myself="" included.="" guys="" if="" like="" you,="" tell="" you="" that's="">>>>></that's>

I scheme, but generally for girls only. If I don't like a guy, I up and tell him, get out of my face (but nicer of course). Sometimes guys tactlessness hurts... I know a girls who doesn't do that. In fact, I know quite a few.

I, in turn, like guys who haven't been corrupted by the whole, I'm popular you're popular thing, or at least not as much so as others. It's also so cute how they try and show off and how it's kinda obvious whether they like you or not, in contrast to girls, when you can just never tell. :P

I don't really think it's some kind of rational decision that girls make to be attracted to guys instead of other girls...it's just their sexual orientation.

they have boobs which u can play with, and they smell nice (girls i mean)

guys, in my opinion, are way better.
girls are too complicated and have too many stupid problems. Of course not all of them, but most.
but then you have your stupid and really cocky guys that you cant stand

Females are really beautiful, k? I mean they are seriously freaking hot. Males, nope. Just a bunch of stuck up tough-wannabees. Then again I wish females wouldn't gossip so much. And plus they're too obsessed with other males, ya know?

Guys versus Girls

[/quote]

lol, in first grade we had to write a journal entry on "why girls/guys are better than guys/girls". Points brought up during the discussion were

"boys can't wear dresses, but girls can wear shorts"
"guys are more susceptible to hereditary diseases"
...

In those days I actually thought guys were superior to girls and asked if I could argue for the other side :D

Hm...it makes me smile to even think about why I like guys. I feel a little silly :)

They hang on more to their youth (video games, sports, silly pranks, exploring, etc) which makes them a ton of fun to be around and really cute when I catch them in kid mode

Guys like to show off and are always looking to impress the girl they're after which makes me feel special

They're competitive and active so I can play sports with them and have some solid competition (but a BIG no to guys who ever make the mistake of "letting" me win...I hate that with a passion...if I can't beat you fair and square, I'd much rather lose and be teased a little)

They tend to be much more rough around the edges so it makes me smile and feel all giddy when they put an effort into cleaning up for me

Most of the time, though, they look just as good when they just roll out of bed and put on the first thing they find that’s clean...but as I said before, when I can see that they made an effort, yay!

They are built more solidly and are much stronger than me which makes me feel all small and protected (unless they're shorter than me...which is fairly common, but I'm not freakishly tall or anything so it's not bad)

Their sense of humor is usually more dry and blunt but still playful

They play fight and tease a lot when they flirt...and that just makes things more interesting and fun

And, maybe creepy sounding, but I just love the way guys smell (soap and cologne)...it's just nice :)

Of course, these things aren't true for all guys...everyone's different, but this is what I like about the guys that do make it onto my radar.

Gah!!! There are so many stereotypes on this thread it's actually made me embarassed!

For example, TritiumKnight, I am female and have made numerous 'your mom' jokes... ;)
Actually, I much prefer 'your face' jokes, but w/e...

And many girls can be funny. My 'your face' jokes aside.

One thing that I was surprised about was how many people said, "It's very obvious when guys like you... if a girl likes someone, there's no way of knowing!" The complete opposite is true in my opinion (perhaps the personalities of guys/girls around us differ). It is unbelievably obvious when one of my friends like someone. Girls who like a guy constantly shift schedules and manipulate situations to be with that person. They jump on that person and hug him. They involuntarily ignore everyone around them and only talk/joke with the guy. They suddenly become outgoing and loud when the guy is near. They begin to "subtly" bring up their achievements (oh, man, I'm so nervous about playing goalie for the Varsity team tonight!!!) They ask that guy to accompany them on little errands. Basically... they do anything that they can to win that guy's attention.

I don't know... maybe it's incredibly obvious to girls when one of their friends likes a guy, but the guy somehow is oblivious to the show being put on by the girl. Hmmm...

GAH! How dare you pop my bubble?!?!!

ahaha, sorry. :)

Men are not beautiful. You can call them handsome, good-looking, buff, but certainly not beautiful.

Tis the truth, I say.

^^ I call guys pretty sometimes :)

...and it's ceratainly not an insult when I do that.
