anybody? opinions are appreciated.
Also, I just found out I got a 10 on my ACT essay.

I think you have an excellent chance.

Agree with downtoearth, I hope you make it, your stats look good.

You have a good chance… but make sure that your essays are FANTASTIC. Last year I applied as a HS senior with a 3.95 uw gpa, was an exchange student in France junior year, and 2020 SATs (710, 710, 600w), along with a 34 ACT and captain of two sports. I was waitlisted then rejected, probably because it is not needs blind and my “why GWU” essay was less than spectacular.

i think u might have been wait-listed then rejected(ginaenparis) because GW might have you were using them as a safety. Your stats are excellent and more than likely above the average applicant. Also it could have been your essays like you said.

It all depends on what they are looking for this year to balance out their student body. GW IS need blind, so that is never a reason why you were waitlisted to the college. Last year, I was accepted to GW was a 3.3/4 unweighted gpa, as well as 2010 SAT scores.

GW looks at your school profile, combined with your transcript, SAT scores, and supplement to determine if they should accept you or not. Depending on where your from (people from under represented states sometimes have a better chance) it may factor a lot into the decision.

thanks for the responses, my ED application has been submitted so now the waiting begins. Also my ACT improved to a 31 so that should help a little bit.

You’ll be fine as long as you actually show interest in GW. You could have the best GPA, a great SAT score, good list of activities, but if you don’t show any interest in GW (via interview, essays, whatever), they’ll show no interest in you. 100 bucks thats why ginaenparis got rejected above.

I think you’ll get in. Oh wait…you did!  Congrats.

lol thanks! yes for future applicants, I was indeed accepted! Can’t wait to start

i can’t wait either haha
